Permitting

Permit Assistance

Port projects typically involve some type of environmental permitting or review. The Port's environmental staff can help determine which permits may be required, as well as help you through the permit process.

Permit Compliance

The Port of Longview meets regulatory requirements in the operation and construction of our facilities:

The State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Process

SEPA provides a way to identify possible environmental impacts that may result from governmental decisions. These decisions may be related to issuing permits for private projects, constructing public facilities or adopting regulations, policies or plans.

Information provided during the SEPA review process is intended to ensure that environmental protection and preservation are considered by both state and local agencies in reviewing permit applications. It gives local governments the authority to both review and mitigate potential environmental impacts.
