In part of the Port of Longview's Section 408 permit through the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Port is required to properly document the historical use and nature of the old grain complex and address Section 106 Cultural Resources provisions, which falls under the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA).
Berth 4 Grain Elevator Archives Prior to demolition, the Port of Longview obtained dozens of photos and other documents relating to the grain complex. Explore everything from old photos, building plans and recovered documents throughout the facility's history.
