Longview, WA– The Port of Longview Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint current Chief Operating Officer Dan Stahl as Interim Chief Executive Officer at their Commission meeting on January 31, 2020. Stahl will fill the role temporarily while the Commission proceeds with a robust, formal recruiting effort to replace current CEO Norm Krehbiel who is set to retire in February.

“We are fortunate to be able to tap into Dan’s many years in the maritime industry to serve in this role,” said Port of Longview Commission President Allan Erickson. “We are very pleased to have him at the helm as we navigate the permanent recruitment process. We are also grateful to the entire Port staff for their support in this process and have the utmost confidence in this team’s ability to keep us on course as we move ahead.”

In the meantime, the recruitment process for a long-term CEO replacement is underway and the job posting is available online at https://bit.ly/2S64vdB. The application period will be open for 90 days.
