PORT SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR VACANT PARK ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEAT

Longview, WA– The Port of Longview Board of Commissioners is seeking a new District #3 Representative for its Park Advisory Committee. Members of this committee help to guide improvements at Willow Grove Park and Boat Launch.

While the Board of Commissioners is ultimately responsible for final decisions related to the Park, the volunteer committee advises and makes recommendations to the Board on activities such as policies, capital improvements and events.

“This committee has been invaluable in guiding recent improvements at Willow Grove,” said Commission Secretary Bob Bagaason. “We are eager to fill this important role as we make additional improvements to the Park in the coming months.”

The Park Advisory Committee is comprised of five members of the public who are selected by the Commission, and is composed of one Willow Grove resident, one education/student representative and one member from each of the three Port District areas.
