The Port of Longview is located in beautiful Southwest Washington state, 66 river miles from the Pacific Ocean, on the Columbia River at Longview.

The Port of Longview district encompasses the approximate northern two-thirds of Cowlitz County and includes the cities of Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock and Toutle which are located in Cowlitz County.

The Port's administration office is located on Port Way just under the Lewis & Clark bridge which connects Washington with Oregon.

Driving Directions to the Port of Longview

  • From Interstate 5 - north or southbound
  • Take Exit 36.
  • Follow signs to SR 432 West and drive about two miles.
  • Take the Third Avenue exit and turn left at light.
  • Follow road about one and one-half mile or so. (Road curves to right and turns into Industrial Way.) Stay in left lane.
  • Turn left onto Oregon Way (but don't go over Lewis & Clark bridge) and take an immediate right at the foot of bridge (Port of Longview exit).

        To Port Office:

  • Follow road under bridge and turn right at Port directional sign.
  • Office building is directly in front of you. Park in front of building in visitor's parking.
  • You will see green directional DOT signs directing you to the Port along the way.

        Truck Traffic:

  • Follow road under bridge and turn left at Port directional sign.
  • Take an immediate right on Terminal Way and proceed to either the scale lanes or the security gate for check-in.

Tours

The Communications/Public Affairs department conducts individual and group tours.

The Port offers tours of its marine facilities to community, educational and business groups and individuals with an interest in marine trade, as time and staffing permits.

Tours are given Monday through Friday, at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm, and must be scheduled in advance.  Tours consist of an approximately 30 - 40 minute drive through the Port's marine facilities. Tours are given in the Port's tour van, which can accommodate groups of nine adults or less. Larger groups must provide their own transportation (generally a tour bus or van). Adults in the tour groups must show a valid driver's license.
