Commissioners & Governance

Port Commission
The Port of Longview Commissioners serve as the governing body of the Port of Longview. Three non-partisan commissioners are elected every six years and are directly responsible to the voters for port district operations.

The Port of Longview Commissioners and their positions for 2010 are:

Bob Bagaason, President (District #3 - expires 2013)
Darold Dietz, Vice President (District #1 - expires 2015)
Dan Buell, Secretary (District #2 - expires 2011)

Port Governance
Port Commissioners set policies that guide the development, growth and operation of all the Port's facilities and functions. An executive director is appointed to administer established policies and manage port operations.

Ken O'Hollaren has served as the Executive Director of the Port of Longview since January 1988. Ken joined the Port in 1980 as Assistant Operations Manager following 2 years of steamship agency work in Portland, Oregon.
