Longview, WA– The Port of Longview is seeking applications for a position on its Board of Commissioners, District #3, after Commissioner Bagaason resigned at the end of September. Once selected, the new Commissioner will serve out the remainder of Bagaason’s term, through December 2019.
To be eligible for consideration, each applicant must be a registered voter in Cowlitz County and must offer proof of residency within District #3.
Applications are being accepted from October 11 through October 26, 2018 and are available at the Port’s administrative office. Application materials – including a Port district map – are also available on the Port’s website at www.portoflongview.com.
The Board of Commissioners is comprised of three elected members representing the citizens of the Port district. Commissioners serve 6-year terms and set governing policy for the Port of Longview.
